Culture Care: Formed, Fed and Growing in God’s Beauty
Dear Faith Community,
As we begin to gain a vision for the community the Holy Spirit is building among us, and we seek to listen together for the direction the Holy Spirit is leading us into, we remember that to bear the image of God means we are becoming God’s Beauty Reflectors. This series explores the importance of considering God’s Beauty forming us, feeding us and growing us, into the new creation culture that is the Kingdom of God in this community of faith.
Throughout August, we will celebrate God the Artist who communicates to us through the wonders of all he has made. Each week we will be invited to reflect on God’s beauty, through the wonders of God’s creation and we will also be led through the poetry of Wendell Berry, with a poem that pertains to each week’s meditation.
Lord you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world,
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.
May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendour to their children.
And let the beauty of our God be upon us!
